Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach is located in Sussex County, Delaware. The beach itself is attractive and clean and boasts a large crowd each summer.

In 1873 the Rehoboth Beach Camp Meeting Association founded this city as a result of their need for a location for their Methodist camp meetings. In 1881 the Association disbanded and the Delaware General Assembly incorporated the location naming it "Henlopen City". However, this did name did not last long. Shortly thereafter it regained the original name "Rehoboth Beach".

Many residents of the Washington D.C. area find this to be an ideal vacation spot and hence became widely known as the "Nation's Summer Capital". Rehoboth's pristine beaches, quaint shops and safe environment make this an ideal vacation spot for families! Popular for its long wooden boardwalk with a variety of shops, amusements, and sporting activities, the nearby town has a lot more to offer for anyone who likes to walk around and window shop.

Rehoboth Beach is a wonderful alternative to the commercialized and over populated beaches found on the north-eastern shores.
